WORDLIST
is useful to check how HAMLET
will read the contents of a file and help to avoid errors in later
analysis. It displays a sorted list of words identified in a file of
text.
Note that any character-string containing letters and numerals may be
considered as a "word" for this purpose.
The results may be saved for comparison with other lists in the same
format using the companion program COMPARE.
If the text to be read is in a language other than English, use the
pull-down menu to apply the correct lexicographic conventions.
Words may be listed in forward alphabetical order or in descending
order of frequency.
To save time, counting may be limited by initial letters, or by the
size of the words to be counted.
