KeyWords In Context (KWIC)
offers the traditional single line KWIC listing, with one or
more keywords in the centre, or displays the keyword(s) in a larger
block of up to 15 lines of text. If searching for a single keyword,
this will as far as possible appear in the centre of the chosen context
unit.
If the text to be read is in a language other than English, use the
pull-down menu to apply the correct lexicographic conventions.
The character string to search for may include the wild card
characters '@' and '*', causing individual letters corresponding to
the
position of the character '@', and all characters after,
and including, the position of the character '*', to be ignored in
searching. This, for example, provides a way to treat words as
equivalent
which differ only in their suffixes, e.g. plural forms.
