INDSCAL - INDividual differences SCALing

compares up to 100 different HAMLET matrices using Carroll
and Chang's (1970) Individual
Differences Scaling, as an alternative to PINDIS.
These should all have been produced using the same search list, and be
of the same size, or an error will be indicated and the matrix selected
will be ignored.
INDSCAL
provides internal metric analysis of a set of dis/similarity
matrices in terms of a weighted distance
model, such that each "subject" (or text source) has a set of
dimensional weights which systematically "distort" the group stimulus
space.
- First select a series of matrices by clicking on
their names in the file list window. This will add the names
of the files selected to the right-hand window. (Note that
all windows are resizeable.)
- Then click on the Run INDSCAL button to
execute the procedure. The results will be displayed in graphic form. It is possible to switch
the display between the subject space, representing
comparisons between the matrices selected, and the group space,
which shows the corresponding search list items as
reflected by combining all of the individual matrices.
